Incident Details: The outboard engine was stolen from the dinghy of a yacht that stranded with mainsail up and engine on on the north shore of Cabo Tres Puntas, Guatemala. The singlehanded owner is missing and presumed to have gone overboard offshore. The engineless dinghy was recovered adrift a few days later in Belize. Incident Details: Overnight, an engineless 8ft. Caribe dinghy was stolen from the deck of a yacht in the bay. The dinghy was on the fore deck and chain locked to a cleat on the mast. The caretaker discovered that the thief had come prepared with tools and had removed the cleat.

Incident Details: The TTSA sailing school dinghy was put onto a trailer and removed from the water late Saturday afternoon, anticipating relaunch and use Sunday morning. The trailer was left near the launch platform/ramp overnight. In the morning the trailer remained but the dinghy/outboard were missing. A police report was made and an investigation is underway.

Incident Details: A dinghy was cable locked to the dinghy dock at the Fisherman's marina in Spanish Waters. When the owners returned at 2130 , the cable had been cut and the dinghy was adrift 30 meters away. The cable also secured the fuel tank, which was stolen. There is a security guard on premises who sits adjacent to the dinghy dock. When queried, he reported that earlier someone had taken several tanks and he recorded the license plate of the vehicle. When asked by the victim, he called the police and reported the license number of the vehicle involved. ||Additionally, 2 other dinghies had fuel tanks stolen that night, and also a fuel line from a third dinghy.

Incident Details: Owners left their dinghy chain locked to the small dinghy dock at the southwestern end of anchorage "C" in Spanish Waters during daylight hours. On their return less than an hour later they found that the 20HP Yamaha outboard that had been padlocked to the dinghy had been stolen. The police took a report but did no forensics.
