Incident Details: Overnight while owners slept on board their in-the-water and chain locked dinghy was stolen from Anchorage "B". It is not known if a police report was made. ||CSSN NOTE: This is the 3rd in-the-water and chain locked dinghy stolen from an occupied yacht in Spanish Waters in the last 2 months.

3116 – Theft in Panama – Linton Bay

Stolen Items: 3D Tender aluminium 2.5m with 9.9HP Mercury 2-Stroke outboard, fuel tank, fuel line, seat cover, anti theft cable and mooring lines

Incident Details: Dinghy was stolen around 3 am. Dinghy was in the water, but with an anti theft cable 12mm thick connected to the yacht. Motor had seperate motorlock protection. Dinghy was found around 6 am with fuel tank and fuel line, seat cover, hoisting bridle and mooring ropes stolen. Dinghy was tied up with the cut cable to a tree in the mangroves of Isla Linton. Motor was not stolen. A police report is planned.

Incident Details: A yacht anchored off Princess Margaret beach, Bequia, was boarded between midnight and 0600HRS while the owners slept onboard. The yacht was not locked and the thieves entered the salon/cabins and stole cash, credit cards, computers and a first aid kit. A report was made to the Coast Guard and the police.

Incident Details: An unoccupied catamaran was moored in Prickly Bay. A thief arrived with tools and wearing gloves but was unable to gain entry to the yachts interior. He stole fishing gear from an unlocked lazarette before departing. All the activity was recorded by the yachts security cameras.||A report was made to police and coast guard. There have been no updates on their investigation.

Incident Details: Cruisers returned to their boat docked in Marina Carenero and found that 2 fenders had been stolen. Unfortunately the thief managed to find their recently installed security cameras’ blind spots. They reported to theft to the marina and to others berthed there.

Incident Details: A yacht anchored off Princess Margaret beach had their in-the-water and cable locked dinghy stolen overnight while they slept onboard. The thief stole a surf board from a nearby beach bar and used it to reach the yacht. The dinghy was taken to the beach and the 15HP Yamaha outboard removed. The dinghy, fuel tank and surfboard were abandoned on the beach, and later recovered. ||A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.

Incident Details: A yacht arrived in Trinidad and took a mooring near Peakes. Overnight while asleep onboard their in-the-water and cable locked Avon dinghy (SN AVB14263B19) / 15HP Yamaha engine (SN 1174350) was stolen. ||Reports were made to the police, Coast Guard and the marina.||CSSN NOTE: recently there have been several dinghy thefts in this bay, as well as incidents of attempted robbery and assault.
