Incident Details: A center console AB dinghy / 70HP Yamaha was cable locked to the Water Island commuter dock in Krum Bay, St. Thomas at 2000HRS. It was stolen overnight. A police report was made. The HIN is XMO14023J415.

Incident Details: A chain locked dinghy /40HP 2stroke Yamaha outboard  was stolen from a canal home dock. The engineless dinghy was found the next day washed up on Klein Bonaire, and returned to the owner.  A police report was made.||A second dinghy / 40HP Yamaha engine was also stolen from a nearby dock the same night.

Incident Details: While owners slept thieves untied the dinghy painter before discovering the locking cable that secured the dinghy/outboard and fuel tank. Diesel fuel jugs secured on the deck were also disturbed, but not taken. A spare fuel jug in the cockpit was not locked, and stolen. ||A second yacht in the anchorage interrupted the attempted theft of their panga, and was able to scare the thieves away. ||Reports were made to the marina and on the VHF net.

The dinghy was recovered nearby with a slashed tube (where an airtag had been hidden), minus the engine.||CSSN NOTE: The presence of AirTags and some other cell based/Bluetooth tracking devices are designed to discourage unwanted tracking and can be quickly and easily detected and located by thieves. Incident Details: Cruisers arrived at West End, Roatan in their trawler and took a mooring. They went ashore during daylight hours with friends. When they returned they found their yacht had been boarded and 2 fishing rods/reels had been stolen from the the upper deck. They found and recovered one of them the next morning while snorkeling behind the yacht and suspect the thief may have dropped it in a hastened departure after meeting their dog.
