Incident Details During daylight hours a swimmer boarded and entered a yacht at Manglar Marina. He defeated the lock on the companionway. The burglar stole cash, a flashlight, Bluetooth speakers and a dry bag to carry it in. The yacht’s camera system captured clear images that were shared with the marina and police.

Incident Details An unlocked dinghy/outboard was stolen from Marina du Marin dock 5 between 1800-2000HRS. The owners located the dinghy the next day, tied with several others behind a yacht anchored in the bay. It was "reclaimed" and the anchored yacht departed. No police report was made.

Incident Details Between 1800HRS Saturday and 0900HRS Sunday thieves who had arrived well prepared with chain cutters stole a RIB dinghy / 5HP Mercury motor from the Anse a L'Ane dinghy dock. A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.||Dinghy SN COABM 57053 F021

Incident Details A yacht with 2 persons onboard anchored in Clifton at 0945HRS for the purposes of checking out, intending to be there for less than an hour. A local boat with 2 men approached and became very aggressive about taking a mooring, many were available. When a mooring was repeatedly declined one of the men began to threaten, first to steal the dinghy if they did not move and then to murder/kill the crew. He attempted to board the yacht with a metal rod in his hand as a weapon. Yelling and the presence of the dog stopped him. Photos were taken, and he continued to threaten to kill the crew. The man departed claiming he would return in 20 minutes with "friends" to kill them. ||The Coast Guard was called on the VHF, but did not respond. A phone call to the police was made and they agreed to meet the crew in Ashton to take a report. The man was recognized in the photos and the police/locals indicated he had been problematic with others. They spoke with the man who claimed no threats were made and he had not attempted to board the boat. No charges were made.

Incident Details A yacht was left in Tyrell Bay under the care of a minder. It was moved into and then back out from the mangroves for Beryl, where it received some damage but remained secure. Between November 4 when the yacht was last checked/reported secure by the minder, and November 11 when the owner returned, the yacht was broken into. The companionway and locked cupboards were forced open and carefully searched. Many items were stolen including cameras, drones, radio, walkie talkies, binoculars , an iPhone, a 9.8HP NS marine outboard, galley items, sunglasses, navigation lights and more. ||No police report was made.

Incident Details A monohull singlehander departed Grenada for Colombia. Unfortunately bad weather and rough conditions led to equipment failures and some injuries(broken ribs). At position 12-09.3N and 069-34.8W, approximately 40 nmiles from Venezuela and 50nmiles from Aruba at 0330HRs the captain was motorsailing with AIS Tx OFF and only the anchor light showing. No other vessels/lights were visible to the yacht. ||The captain was injured when a bullet crossed from the port side, into the open cockpit enclosure, passed in front of his face and ricocheted off the cockpit enclosure frame and then grazed his hand. No vessels could be seen nearby, no further shots were fired, and no vessel approached. The captain diverted north to Aruba and contacted port control on arrival. He was met by the Coast Guard, three of them boarded, provided assistance in anchoring and took a report. The normal inspections were made. The captain treated his own injuries and did not require medical assistance.

Incident Details Owners awoke at 0145HRS when the captain of a neighboring yacht knocked on their hull. The neighbors had seen thieves towing the yacht's in-the-water and not locked dinghy. The thieves had cut the painter, and were powering away when the neighbor's yells alerted them. The thieves abandoned the dinghy and it was recovered. A report was made to the marina and the Coast Guard.
