Incident Details A yacht anchored in Prince Rupert Bay tied their dinghy to the fishing dock in town to walk to the Saturday market in town. A man approached and began shouting at the couple and followed them. He had no visible weapons and threatened to break the man's neck. Others became concerned and intervened, and encouraged that a police report be made. The couple made a police report and the police gave a verbal caution. ||On Tuesday, the crew returned to the dock and were again threatened by the same man. Again, others intervened and there were no injuries. A second report was made to the police.

Incident Details A yacht had been anchored for almost a month among about 30 other yachts opposite the Old San Juan marina. Their in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen overnight while they slept onboard. The dinghy was recovered ashore the next morning. The engine had been well locked to the dinghy, the thieves were prepared and cut the transom mounting clamps and stole the whole engine/cable lock assembly and the oars. A report was made to the marina and the police.

Incident Details Cruisers returned to their yacht in Rodney Bay Marina after a 2 week absence and noticed that an unoccupied neighboring yacht was missing all its fenders and a spring line. Close inspection revealed the fender lines had been cut. The marina was notified and they used one of their own fenders to help prevent damage. Few lights were working on the dock and no CCTV coverage was in place.

Incident Details Cruisers anchored in the lagoon awoke at 0150HRS to sounds on their aft deck. A thief had boarded and was attempting to lower their raised and tied off dinghy/outboard. They began banging on the ceiling of their aft cabin and the thief aborted his efforts and jumped back in his dinghy and drifted a short way off while claiming he "needed gas". ||The cruisers used a spot light to light up the scene and began recording video. The thief had a second dinghy already in tow and departed the lagoon via the Sandy Ground bridge. ( See 3281) A report was made on the VHF net the next morning, where another cruiser confirmed their dinghy had been stolen overnight. A police report was made and the video provided to authorities.

Incident Details A cruising yacht was moored and occupied for 4 days in Blue Lagoon, SVG. The owner left the boat fully secured and unsupervised for 2 hours to provision. Upon returning he discovered the helm cover had been opened on the fly bridge and the handheld VHF radio had been stolen. No police report was made.
