Incident Details Overnight, while the owners slept onboard their yacht in the Swimming Pool area, their in-the-water and not locked dinghy/outboard was stolen. The painter had been cut. A report was made to local officials.

Incident Details Overnight between 0100-0700HRS, while the crew slept onboard, thieves boarded the yacht and attempted to steal the 15HP Yamaha outboard that was locked to the pushpit. The thieves stole the lifting harness, and strap, and loosened the lines on the lifting crane. A report was made to the marina and Customs authorities ashore.

Incident Details The crew of a yacht in Trellis Bay awoke and saw their in-the-water and not locked center console tender (plus 2-3 others) being stolen, and towed away at 0100HRS. A police report was made.

UPDATE: the owner investigated a nearby area and was told a $600 USD ransom was required for the recovery of the 3 dinghies. The ransom was paid, and 2 engineless dinghies were reclaimed in East End Bay, Tortola. The second dinghy is now safely stored in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, and can be claimed with proper proof of ownership. The police were informed of the ransom/recovery.

Incident Details Overnight, an in-the-water and not locked dinghy/outboard was stolen from a yacht anchored near the Drowned Cays. The owners found the painter line had been cut. A report was made to the police and the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard recovered the dinghy, minus the engine.

Incident Details A cruising yacht had been anchored in Old Bank Bay for a few weeks, and there were other yachts anchored nearby. They awoke at 0400HRS to noise and discovered two men in an open boat attempting to steal their in-the-water, but locked dinghy/outboard. They shone lights and began yelling, and the unsuccessful thieves departed toward Isla Bastimentos. No police report was made
