| Incident Details | A yacht in the Dutch-side lagoon was boarded while owners and guests slept onboard. The thieves entered the catamaran's cabins and stole phones and a tablet.||A report was made to the police and Coast Guard. Another boat was also boarded (twice) this same night, see 3429. |

| Incident Details | A catamaran in the Dutch lagoon that experienced a boarding 2 days prior was boarded a second time and burgled between 1630-1930HRS. The thieves came prepared with tools and broke in through the locked doorway. ||The entire yacht was ransacked and the thieves stole cash, all electrical devices and cables, and a backpack to carry it all in. Reports were made to police and Coast Guard in both jurisdictions. Live tracking data for the stolen devices was provided.||UPDATE : Some of the stolen items have been recovered/returned by another cruiser who tracked his own stolen dinghy, see 3441. |

| Incident Details | After a late dinner owners were unable to start the engine so left their dinghy overnight locked to the marina dock. When they returned at 0500HRS to retrieve it, they discovered it had been stolen. Using an AirTag, they located the dinghy at the Dutch Coast Guard. It had been intercepted by them during the early morning hours. A police report was made and the dinghy was returned to the owner. |

| Incident Details | Owner left their locked dinghy for about 30 minutes at the Port Royal dock. When they returned and found it had been stolen they received assistance from another boat owner. Calls to the police were not answered, and when they called the fire department they were advised to make a report the next day. They utilized a tracker signal to locate the dinghy, at a Dutch-side waterfront marina bar. They retrieved it when the suspect fled on foot. It was loaded with tools and personal goods that had been stolen from a cruising boat, which were returned to their owner. A police statement was made. |

| Incident Details | Overnight while the owners slept onboard their in-the-water and cable locked dinghy was stolen. A report was made on the local VHF, and to the police.||UPDATE: BVI maritime police recovered the badly damaged dinghy from the beach at Great Harbour, JVD. It was returned to the owners who will salvage it for parts. |

| Incident Details | Owners were awakened at 0500HRS when thieves attempted to break into their catamaran's locked sliding door. Once aware they had been discovered the thieves departed quickly in their motorized boat. A police report was made. |

| Incident Details | A catamaran with 2 persons onboard was under sail on passage from Los Roques, Venezuela to Grenada. At position 11-27.976N 063-23.585W approximately 20 nmiles WNW of Los Testigos at 0500HRS the yacht was approached by a panga with 3-4 men, and boarded by 2 armed pirates. ||One crew was on watch but inside when the sound of the approaching panga was heard. Returning to the cockpit she found it was only 10 meters away. She immediately went below to awaken the other crew member who was sleeping and then she returned to the cockpit. The second crew member came on deck through a hatch in the forward sleeping quarters as the 2 masked/hooded men began to board the boat. The crew member who was forward was able to intercept the first pirate and force the gun from his hand, disarming him before pushing him off the boat. The gun went into the water. It is unclear if the pirate fell into the water or the panga. He then went aft to aid the other crew member who was engaged with the second pirate who was attacking her with a short club of some sort. Unseen from behind, the other crew member was able to punch the second pirate in the head and neck sending him overboard between the 2 boats. ||The crew added engines for maximum speed as they got underway and altered course, going dark by dousing all lights and AIS. Satellite calls were made to friends and then to the Grenada Coast Guard. They do not think the pirates pursued, and they made safe landfall the following day in Grenada. They treated their injuries and did not require medical assistance. A report was made to the Grenada Coast Guard and reports to their consulates are also planned. |

| Incident Details | See 3442, #3||The third encounter was the next morning, 0800HRS December 2, at position 16-56.09N 80-49.64W, approximately 220 nmiles off the Honduran coast. A single fishing vessel again initiated an intercept course. Tacking again, the yacht increased speed and the gap and after about an hour the fishing vessel turned back. The yacht eventually turned southward leaving Serranilla bank to starboard and continued to the San Blas. |
