Incident Details An unoccupied yacht on a Marina mooring had the 15HP Yamaha outboard stolen from its raised and locked dinghy overnight. A report was made to police and Coast Guard.

A second dinghy/engine, in-the water and cable locked to the same yacht was stolen in its entirety. See 3693.

Incident Details An unoccupied yacht on a marina mooring had its in-the-water and cable locked dinghy Boston Whaler/15HP Yamaha outboard stolen overnight. A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.

The 15HP Yamaha engine on a second dinghy, also locked, but raised, on the same yacht was also stolen, see 3694.

Incident Details A yacht anchored in the northwestern coast of Aruba, off Eagle Beach. During the night, while the owners slept onboard their catamaran, 2 fishing rods and snorkeling equipment were stolen from the cockpit area.

A police report was made.

Incident Details A 600ft. reel of sisal rope was stolen from a dinghy tied to the Lambi Queen dock between 10PM and midnight. This is a specialty product. The victim offered a reward.

The reel of sisal rope reappeared on another boat, and was returned to the owner.

Incident Details A yacht anchored off Peakes with owners onboard had the dinghy painter lines cut, and the alongside dinghy/outboard stolen at 1930HRS.

Reported on the VHF net, and a police report is planned.

Incident Details Overnight, a panga / 20HP Suzuki was stolen from a slip on San Cristobal. It was locked with a steel cable to a piling. The panga had no bimini and is blue with an orange stripe and a grey interior. A report was made to the police and on the VHF net.

Incident Details While the owner slept onboard, an attempt was made to steal their in-the-water and chain locked dinghy. The painter was cut, but the chain prevented the theft. The owner discovered the cut painter the next morning.

Incident Details Overnight while the owner slept onboard, the yacht’s in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen. The painter had been cut.

CSSN UPDATE : Reports were made to the police and Aeronaval. A second boat also had an attempt to steal thier in-the-water but chain locked dinghy. See 3688.

Incident Details A moored yacht was burgled between July 9-20. The companionway door lock was broken and the yacht fully ransacked. The thieves stole many items including 4x ACDelco 12v AGM batteries 90Ah each
1x Exide 12v battery, size 24, 90Ah, 2x fire extinguishers, wet/dry shop vac, many tools and spare parts, fenders, galley items, chart table items, snorkel gear, several bottles of alcohol and cockpit cushions (2xmarine blue with burgundy piping) .

A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.
