Incident Details A catamaran arrived in Wallilabou Bay, and between 1830 and 1900HRS the yacht's blue and grey SUP went missing. The next morning at 0600HRS the yacht encountered a man in the bay with an identical SUP, who claimed it had been given to him by the Moorings Charters. Unable to provide proof of ownership, the yacht departed.

Incident Details A cruiser owned/operated marine business / dockside workshop located in the SAD warehouses on the lagoon between Bobby's Mega yard and Island Water World discovered the pry marks of an overnight attempted burglary, but the locks proved robust. The police would not take a report for the unsuccessful burglary attempt.

Incident Details The owner/captain of a cruising yacht docked for one night at the Linton Bay Marina, and was ashore having dinner at the restaurant when it began to rain at about 2200HRS. He returned to his boat to close the hatches and was overtaken by 4-5 men who were lying-in-wait in darkness inside. They had already searched the boat, and immediately wrestled him to the floor, and then held an automatic weapon to his head and began to demand "the drugs" they believed he had brought from the San Blas. Once a phone camera was shined in his face a third party seemed to conclude he was the wrong person.||The captain sustained minor injuries and was warned to remain quiet and on the floor. The men departed after about 15 minutes in their small launcha that was tied alongside. Nothing was stolen. After some time the captain returned to the restaurant and reported the incident.||Reports were made to the Linton Bay Marina management, the Navy/Coast Guard (Aeronaval) and the police. The victim was told the only security cameras at the marina were pointed at the restaurant and not the dock.

Incident Details As the lone yacht anchored in Cabo de la Vela, on the third night while the owners were sleeping onboard, their in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen. The lines were cut. A police report was made.

Incident Details A cruiser locked their Caribe dinghy / 9.8HP Tohatsu engine to the fisherman's dock in Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou at 1700HRS. At 2200HRS when he returned it was gone. ||The next day, a Facebook user reported that the police had found an engine. Apparently the thief was interrupted and abandoned the engine/fuel tank on a nearby beach, where the police found and collected it. The owner retreived the engine from the Hillsborough police station, but the dinghy remains missing.

Incident Details Overnight and in-the-water and not locked dingy was stolen from a yacht on a mooring in Admiralty Bay, Bequia while the owners slept onboard. The engineless dinghy was found adrift and returned later that day to the owners. The theft was announced on the local VHF net, and a police report was made.

Incident Details The captain of a yacht anchored near Woburn discovered 2 men onboard the deck of his yacht at 0530HRS. He challenged their presence verbally and made clear his willingness to discharge the flare he had pointed at them from 3 meters. They quickly retreated to their waiting pirogue, described as orange with a blue stripe. || The captain was not injured and the thieves were not successful. A police report was made.

Incident Details A yacht with 2 persons on board was transiting from San Andres, Colombia to Roatan, Honduras and passed through a fleet of about 10 small fishing boats, near position 15-16N, 082-50W, 25 miles off the Honduran coast and west of the Media Luna reef. A short time later at about 1000HRS, they were approached by a single open boat with 6 men onboard, and 5 men boarded. No weapons were displayed and they were told in Spanish "no guns, no calls, no problem". The pirates were a mix of young and old, some aggressive, some apparently drunk. ||The pirates demanded cash. The crew continued to execute their previously agreed piracy plan and complied quickly and willingly, and the pirates were satisfied with the readily available (sacrificial) stash of cash, an old laptop, and a few other items (handheld VHF, binoculars, sunglasses, alcohol) . ||The 5 men returned to their launcha after about 30 minutes onboard and departed eastward. The yacht continued on to Roatan without further incident.

Incident Details A locally owned speedboat "Papa San" was secured at the Mayreau wharf at about 6 pm on Friday 4th March. It was missing at 6:30 am the next morning when the owner checked on it. Papa San is green and red with a Yamaha outboard. A second boat was also missing, and it has since been found on Richmond Beach, Union Island. || The theft was reported to the police and coast guard, any sightings should be reported to the local police and/or Union Island police at 1-784-458-8229.|||||||| · ||.
