Incident Details At approximately 2230HRS a cruiser was leaving his car in Brewers Bay beach in St Thomas, USVI and was attacked from behind by a young man with a machete. He received multiple severe wounds to the head/neck but the assailant finally ran off when headlights seemed to be approaching. The victim made it to his dinghy and back to the yacht were he received treatment from his spouse. The police and ambulance were called and the victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment. He was later released. A full report was made to the police.

Incident Details Cruisers returned to the main dinghy dock with friends at 1915HRS and as the second dinghy was departing some young men began hurling objects/rocks at them from the dinghy dock and stuck one of the cruisers in the head. Injuries were described as minor and both crews returned to their yachts. ||It is not known if a police report was made.

Incident Details Owners arrived Puerto Jimenez and anchored. They awoke at 0345HRS when they heard a thumping noise. Using bright lights they found 2 pangas, alongside and closely astern. Both pangas fled immediately. They secured the engine.

Incident Details Owners of a yacht anchored near Boya de Vida awoke to noise at 0030HRS and were able to disrupt a boarding. A man rowed/paddled away when discovered. It is not known if a police report was made.

Incident Details A singlehanded cruiser arrived Chaguaramas in the afternoon and took a mooring. Their in-the-water and cable locked dinghy was stolen between 0400-0700HRS. Incident Details In broad daylight at 1500HRS owners heard noise and went topside to discover that 2 men were attempting to steal their in-the-water and (currently) not locked dinghy. Once discovered the men grabbed the dinghy fuel tank and departed in their open boat, leaving the yacht's dinghy/outboard behind. Other boats nearby captured the activity on video. The crew pursued the thieves open boat with assistance from a nearby yacht and recovered the fuel tank, sustaining injuries (a broken foot). A report was made to the police (Aeronaval) and they offered first aid.
