Incident Details A thief broke the companionway hasp to gain entry to a locked yacht in the bay between 7-9PM. An alarm was triggered and this apparently startled the thief and scared them away. Nothing was taken. A report was made to the (tourist) police.

Incident Details A yacht arrived in Dangriga about 0300HRs and anchored just outside the river, about 300 meters from shore. The crew did not lock the companionway and went to bed. The next morning they discovered they had been boarded, a thief had entered the yacht and stole a backpack (containing a laptop) and also a pair of sunglasses from the cockpit. Another laptop and cellphone sitting on the nav station were not taken. A police report was made the next day and the crew completed their checkout with officials.

Incident Details While charter catamaran guests were ashore for the evening, a thief entered the locked yacht through a deck hatch which was left closed but not locked. Stolen items included cash, jewelry,4 cellphones, cameras + backpacks. A police report was made, and the police visited the yacht and collected forensics from the scene. A second yacht had a similar experience in this bay the same night.

Incident Details Overnight a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) was stolen from the deck of a yacht anchored between Sandy and Paradise islands. It was properly secured to the yacht with the leash. A search of the area where wind/waves would have taken it was conducted, but without positive result.

Incident Details At 0400 HRS four(4) thieves entered the marina, the first by climbing the card controlled gate, and then admitting his three(3) compatriots. They then stole 4 folding bicycles that were locked on the pontoons near the two (2) yachts they belonged to. The hoodie wearing thieves then exited with the stolen bikes thru the marina gate. The marina provided surveillance video and a report was made to the coastguard and the police.

Incident Details Owners returned to their unlocked yacht after an evening ashore and found they had been boarded. Wet footprints were found in the salon and below. Nothing seemed to be missing, but the yacht had been well searched/ransacked. A report was made to the Navy.

Incident Details Overnight an unoccupied but locked yacht in Saigon Bay was burglarized. The thief broke in through a hatch and stole kite boards. An unsuccessful attempt was also made on a second unoccupied yacht in this bay. Incident Details Overnight an attempt was made to burglarize 2 unoccupied yachts in Saigon Bay. This was the unsuccessful attempt. The other yacht had kite boards stolen from the locked interior.
