Incident Details A yacht outbound from Rio Dulce anchored off Livingston west of the loading dock. On the second night the in-the-water but chain locked dinghy was stolen while the owner slept onboard. A report was made to the police/port captain and about a week later the port captain notified the owner that they had found the dinghy – ransacked but not damaged and minus the outboard, dinghy anchor, fishing gear, flares, etc. It was returned to the owner.

Incident Details Overnight while owners slept onboard, their in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen from their yacht anchored near Carenaro. The dinghy was found by others the next day adrift and engineless, and returned to the owners. It is not known if a police report was made.

Incident Details Anchored in Marigot Bay, catamaran owners were awakened at 0430 AM when they heard a splash. They discovered a swimmer had boarded their unlocked yacht and stolen 2 phones and a tablet from the salon, as well as a bucket to carry them in. A police report was made.

Incident Details Owners were scuba diving from their dinghy that was on a mooring south of Tintamarre . At noon at the end of their dive they returned to find that the dinghy had been stolen, a 90 minute swim was required to return to the yacht.

Incident Details Between midnight and 6AM an unlocked, in-the-water dinghy / 9.8 HP Tohatsu outboard was stolen from a yacht in the bay while the owner slept onboard. The line had been cut. It is not known if a police report was made.

Incident Details Anchored off the town of Malendure, while owners slept onboard their catamaran, thieves lowered and stole the Caribe dinghy/18HP Tohatsu which had been raised on its davits, but not locked to the yacht. A police report was made.

Incident Details 9.8 HP Tohatsu (not locked) was stolen overnight from an in-the-water and not locked dinghy , which was alongside an occupied yacht anchored near Hog Island. It is not know if a police report was made. ||It is believed this theft is related to the theft of a dinghy from the Woburn dinghy dock earlier that night (Incident 2617), and at least 2 other outboard thefts., incidents 2617,2618. ||CSSN NOTE: If you are the victim or have additional details about this incident, please contact CSSN at safetyandsecurtiynet@gmail.com , or use our easy and complete online incident reporting form.||UPDATE: This outboard was recovered by local police and returned to the owners.
