Incident Details: A tender was parked overnight at Sopers Hole (by the Customs office- past the old fish and lime). The entire 40" lower unit of the 300HP engine was unbolted and stolen. A police report was made.

3264 – Attempted Robbery in Colombia – Cabo de la Vela

Incident Details: A yacht made an unplanned stop at 1700HRS at Cabo de Las Vela to wait for more favorable sailing conditions, planning to depart at 0300HRS. No other yachts were anchored there. At 2030HRS they heard voices and found three masked men in a boat tied to their stern. Communications were difficult but the boarders were clearly told NO and asked, then told to leave. ||The boarders were becoming more aggressive. The crew had prepared with bear spray, and used it on the first man who continued his attempt to climb aboard. He retreated but a second man began to board. They were using/swinging large poles in an attempt to subdue the crew. Both crew then shot more bear spray and the 3 men finally retreated to their boat and departed. ||The crew made a VHF call (no response) and immediately departed.

3273 – Theft in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – Union – Clifton Harbor

Incident Details: A charter yacht spent the night in Clifton Harbor. At 0530 they found their in-the-water and not locked dinghy was "missing". A search of the shoreline with binoculars at sunrise did not locate it. Shortly thereafter a local arrived at their yacht and told them someone had "found" a dinghy and took them to shore where another man claimed to have "found" the dinghy at Frigate Island (in the dark). A $20US finders fee was offered. The man demanded $500US and refused to return the dinghy until it was paid. The crew contacted their charter company who suggested they pay the fee, and depart immediately. They waited for the bank to open, paid the $500US and the dinghy was surrendered. The police were contacted but did not arrive. They departed.

Incident Details: Overnight outside the reef at White Bay, while owner and guests slept on board their in-the-water and not locked AB dinghy, 9.9HP Tohatsu outboard and fuel tank were stolen. Lines securing the dinghy to the yacht were removed. A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.||UPDATE: Serial number details added||Hull ID: XMO08063F920|Tohatsu Serial #002871AK Model MFS9.8BS||UPDATE : The dingy was recovered after 5 days, found beached in White Bay. It was intact , minus 1/2 tank of fuel and owner's flip flops.

Incident Details: A yacht anchored in the northern part of Rodney Bay, near Pigeon Island Beach. They heard noises around 2300HRS and when 2 crew members investigated they found a thief already onboard. Once discovered the thief immediately returned to his boat and rowed away. ||The crew setup a watch. Another noise was heard and another thief was discovered on the bow. When lit up he immediately returned to his boat and rowed away. The watch continued.||A bit later another boat approached the stern of the yacht, with 3 men onboard. When the crew shown a light on them they immediately rowed away. ||Nothing was taken, no police report was made.
