An unoccupied yacht in Mt. Hartman Bay was burgled between Aug 8-11. The break-in was discovered by the minder. (Victim #1 of 4) . See also 3905, 3906, 3907.
The thieves came prepared with tools and removed the screws on the companionway locking mechanism. The interior of the yacht was fully ransacked. The thieves left behind an outboard engine and personal electronics. The minder and owner are working to clean up the mess and determine what may have been stolen. This report will be updated when more information is available. A report was made to the police and Coast Guard. The Coast Guard visited and took photos, but no forensics. |
