Incident Details: At 1730HRS , on Sunday, October 5th, a female cruiser walked alone on the path from Hog Island to Clarkes Court Bay Boatyard. A lone male armed with a knife approached from behind, cut the strap of her backpack with a knife and then fled back toward Hog Island. A police report is planned.

Incident Details: Overnight a raised but not locked dinghy/outboard was stolen from an unoccupied yacht in Mt. Hartman bay. The thief boarded the yacht and cut the davit lines.

The dinghy/outboard and contents were later recovered from the mangroves in lower Woburn Bay, where the outboard was already dismounted but stuck in the mud. The thief left behind some personal items including dark clothing, hat, flashlight and a backpack.

Incident Details: A 600ft. reel of sisal rope was stolen from a dinghy tied to the Lambi Queen dock between 10PM and midnight. This is a specialty product. The victim offered a reward.

The reel of sisal rope reappeared on another boat, and was returned to the owner.

Incident Details: Cruisers visited Hog Island midafternoon and left their dinghy while they took a brief walk. On their return about 45 minutes later they found their dinghy had been vandalized. Approximately 10 liters of dirty fuel had been dumped in the (unlocked) bow compartment. Nothing was stolen but the locker contents were filthy, some ruined. A report was made on the local VHF net.

When he returned at midnight only the lock was left on the dock. The thieves had been well prepared. ||A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.

Incident Details: A yacht was left in Tyrell Bay under the care of a minder. It was moved into and then back out from the mangroves for Beryl, where it received some damage but remained secure. Between November 4 when the yacht was last checked/reported secure by the minder, and November 11 when the owner returned, the yacht was broken into. The companionway and locked cupboards were forced open and carefully searched. Many items were stolen including cameras, drones, radio, walkie talkies, binoculars , an iPhone, a 9.8HP NS marine outboard, galley items, sunglasses, navigation lights and more. ||No police report was made.
