Incident Details: Owners were down below with lights on when they heard noises at 2230HRS. They made some noise and then went out to investigate. They were shocked to see a man sitting on their swim platform, and began yelling at him to leave. The intruder got back in the water and swam away.||CSSN NOTE: A second boat in this anchorage experienced a theft this same night. Incident Details: Cruisers left their well locked dinghy / engine at the dinghy dock. A young "minder" was present and agreed to a modest payment upon return. When they returned about 3 hours later the minder was no longer there. The tiller extender that had been laying in the bottom of the dinghy had been stolen.

Incident Details: A yacht arrived in the late afternoon and anchored their monohull in Chateaubelair Bay, St. Vincent. At about 2200HRS they heard a thump/noise on deck. They investigated and were unable to locate the source. ||The next morning they discovered all 3 pairs of sandals/shoes in the well lit cockpit had been stolen. A police report was made, and they departed.

Incident Details: Between 2230 and 0300HRS an in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen from a yacht anchored in Simpson Bay while owners slept onboard. A search was made, without result. A police report was made.||UPDATE: Dinghy was found 24 January severely damaged. Incident Details: A cruiser secured his dinghy (SN CN-HFB57980C323) / Yamaha 15HP outboard model E15DMH 6B4K 1266909 with lock/chain to the dinghy dock next to the Coast Guard station at 1700HRS. When he returned at midnight only the lock was left on the dock. The thieves had been well prepared. ||A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.

Incident Details: Cruisers were returning to their yacht In Kearton's Bay, St. Vincent, after visiting Customs and Immigration. After exiting their taxi a boy aged about 10 years approached with a large butcher knife and demanded their bag. They rushed past to the beach where a man waiting to assist them with a mooring waited. They were taken back to their yacht without further incident.
