Incident Details: A catamaran anchored close-in off Princess Margaret beach and the crew went into town for some quick supplies from 16:00-19:30HRS. When they returned to the yacht they found some items strewn on the deck floor. An unlocked external locker had been opened and rifled through. A bright red plastic fishing tackle box was stolen. 5 of 8 swim fin socks were taken from the drying line. The main cabin remained locked and there was no sign of any other attempted or forced entry. No police report was made.

Incident Details: A sailing school charter yacht anchored overnight in Charleston Bay, Canouan. In the morning the students discovered a fuel tank for the outboard motor, and a spare anchor were stolen from one of the lazarettes where they had been stowed overnight. ||The theft occurred in the late evening between midnight and 5am the next morning.

Incident Details: While the crew was away for dinner from 1900 hours to 2100 hours thieves boarded a monohull anchored off Princess Margaret Beach, and broke in thru the locked companionway. A computer, electronics and clothing were stolen. A police report was made.

Incident Details: Overnight while owners slept onboard a thief boarded their monohull off Princess Margaret Beach, Bequia, and stole a 5 gallon (full) fuel jug from the cockpit. The dinghy fuel tank (also full) was also emptied. A small portable generator in the cockpit and a small 2 gallon fuel jug on the swim platform were undisturbed. A police report was made.

Incident Details: In the morning the Captain and crew discovered that a thief had boarded and stolen all the cash from a backpack in the salon, leaving a phone, passport and other items undisturbed. The entry may have been during dinner ashore, or later that night as they slept onboard. They also noticed some blue paint marking their stern about a foot above the waterline. ||A report was made to the port captain and the police.||CSSN NOTE: Another yacht in the anchorage was also boarded this same night. 2872 – Attempted Theft in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – St. Vincent – Young Island

Incident Details: A crew member awoke at 0300HRS to noise in the cockpit, and did not investigate thinking it was the captain. The yacht was well secured, including all cockpit / lazarette lockers. Nothing was available to the thief, and they were not successful. The crew member reported the occurrence the next morning to the captain/owner. ||CSSN NOTE: A second yacht in the anchorage experienced a theft this same night. (see incident 2871)
