The owners of a monohull arrived in Anse La la Raye, St. Lucia around midday, and were assisted onto a mooring. They were the only yacht there when they retired for the evening.
They were awakened by noise at 0220HRS. They found two thieves alongside in an open boat attempting to steal their lifted and locked to the yacht dinghy, the painter had been cut. They shone a spotlight on the thieves, which scared them off, the thieves sped off towards the north end of the village moorings. A police report was made by phone. |
