CSSN has updated our report on the horrific murders of 2 cruisers who were abducted, raped and murdered by 3 fugitives who had escaped the local jail. The yacht was anchored off Grand Anse beach Grenada in February 2024 and later recovered in St. Vincent where the 3 men had been (re)captured by local police.
Originally charged with capital crimes, the three men each accepted reduced charges and lengthy sentences, and were returned to prison to serve their sentences. While events of this nature are uncommon, the capture and timely prosecution of those involved is exceptional in the Caribbean region. You can read the updated CSSN report here.
