Incident Details: Crew were sleeping when a thief boarded their unlocked catamaran and entered the port side cabins where they rummaged some of the clothing and found cash and a knife. They also stole life jackets from the dinghy. The crew made a police report after discovering the theft the next morning. The police visited and collected prints from the yacht and some clothing.

Incident Details: Owners of monohull on a NPA mooring had checked out and left the yacht to meet friends for dinner. During the 3 hours they were away the yacht was boarded. All access points had been locked. On their return they found that all cockpit cubbies had been ransacked, nothing was taken. No police report was made and the yacht departed the next morning.

Incident Details: A yacht anchored at 2.5M depth in Major's Bay, St.Kitts. They dove the 35kg anchor and all was well. The crew awoke at 0300HRS when their anchor alarm sounded. They retrieved the anchor and found a line had been carefully tied into it, and then cut off. The shackle on the anchor remained seized. They re-anchored and noticed a singlehander on an adjacent yacht seemed to be dragging as well. He departed. The police were informed.

Incident Details: A singlehanded sailing yacht was on passage from the BVI's to the Grenadines. At approximately 18:00HRS the captain noticed a ship on AIS that had reduced speed, decreasing the CPA to less than 500 meters. AIS indicated the vessel was registered in Venezuela. Visibility was poor and the captain went dark, turning off AIS transmit and all lights . He then changed course to pass about 3 miles behind the vessel. The yacht monitored VHF 16 but no radio contact was made by the vessel. ||At 20:00HRS, the captain heard the sound of an auxiliary boat bouncing off the waves in the distance. It was doing a search pattern, and coming steadily closer. It had no running lights. At this point the yacht was passing astern of the larger vessel at a distance of about 3.5 miles. The captain noted his position at 20:05HRS: 17° 06.0220' N 063° 51.9680' W, about 60 miles east of St. Kitts.||At about 20:45HRS the auxiliary vessel passed the yachts stern, travelling in the direction of the ship, which was visible at a distance of six or seven miles to the north-east. It did not return and the yacht continued without incident to the Grenadines.

Incident Details: While the owners slept their not locked catamaran anchored off Bay Road was boarded, presumably by a swimmer. The thief took cash, computers and cellphones before departing in the yacht’s in-the-water and not locked dinghy. The dinghy was later recovered ashore and a police report made in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
