Incident Details: An unlocked dinghy / 25HP Yamaha was stolen from the dinghy dock at Foxy's. The dinghy was recovered nearby with a slashed tube (where an airtag had been hidden), minus the engine.||CSSN NOTE: The presence of AirTags and some other cell based/Bluetooth tracking devices are designed to discourage unwanted tracking and can be quickly and easily detected and located by thieves. Incident Details: A yacht anchored for 2 nights in Lower Belmont Bay, Tortola. A thief boarded just after midnight and stole a MacBook air, which had been left in the cockpit. A police report was made and the tracking information provided to them.

Incident Details: Overnight outside the reef at White Bay, while owner and guests slept on board their in-the-water and not locked AB dinghy, 9.9HP Tohatsu outboard and fuel tank were stolen. Lines securing the dinghy to the yacht were removed. A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.||UPDATE: Serial number details added||Hull ID: XMO08063F920|Tohatsu Serial #002871AK Model MFS9.8BS||UPDATE : The dingy was recovered after 5 days, found beached in White Bay. It was intact , minus 1/2 tank of fuel and owner's flip flops.

Incident Details: A dinghy locked to the central dock in Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke, was stolen between 2130-2200HRS. Serial numbers Aluminum deep-V 13-foot AB, Hull ID COXTM53014L314i and 30HP Tohatsu EverRun Serial # 047066AC. Reports were made to the BVI,BVI/USVI police, Coast Guard, the BVI Charter Yacht Society,  and the USVI equivalent, the VIPCA.||CSSN UPDATE: The victim have advised that with help from the local community and the BVI Marine Units of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force the dinghy has been recovered. All the dinghy contents (fuel tank, PFDs, depth sounder, swim ladder, lights, all lines, shoes, etc) were missing but the dinghy/outboard were both operational.

Incident Details: A 16ft. center console with 70HP Yamaha was stolen from its slip in front the Arawak shop in Leverick Bay between 11PM July 9 and 1PM July 10. The boat was not locked to the dock, but the key had been removed. The BVI Police and Marina were notified, and a review of the marina video surveillance is expected.
