The CSSN Interactive Incident Map is a real-time visual tool that displays reports of yacht and maritime crime across the Caribbean. It compiles data from the Caribbean Safety and Security Net’s incident database—covering thefts, robberies, boardings, and suspicious approaches—and presents them geographically for easy exploration.
To use the interactive map, simply select one or more options from the Year, Event Type, and Country dropdown menus, or enter a specific keyword or incident ID. Then click Search to refresh the map and incident list, or use Reset to clear your selections. You can toggle the list’s visibility using Hide Incidents or Show Incidents at any time. Once you see your results, click on individual markers to view incident details, or select a cluster to zoom in and reveal multiple points in a given area.
