Overnight, while the owners slept onboard their catamaran anchored in Linton Bay, thieves stole the lifted and locked dinghy from the davits. They turned the motion sensor light away, and attempted to cut the stainless cable that locked the dinghy to the yacht. Finding that difficult, they cut the 2″ thick rubber/hard bow handle where the cable passed through it, and lowered the dinghy.
A report was made to the Marina and the police. |
