| Incident Details | In broad daylight at 1500HRS owners heard noise and went topside to discover that 2 men were attempting to steal their in-the-water and (currently) not locked dinghy. Once discovered the men grabbed the dinghy fuel tank and departed in their open boat, leaving the yacht's dinghy/outboard behind. Other boats nearby captured the activity on video. The crew pursued the thieves open boat with assistance from a nearby yacht and recovered the fuel tank, sustaining injuries (a broken foot). A report was made to the police (Aeronaval) and they offered first aid. |
