Incident Details: Overnight, a panga / 20HP Suzuki was stolen from a slip on San Cristobal. It was locked with a steel cable to a piling. The panga had no bimini and is blue with an orange stripe and a grey interior. A report was made to the police and on the VHF net.

Incident Details: While the owner slept onboard, an attempt was made to steal their in-the-water and chain locked dinghy. The painter was cut, but the chain prevented the theft. The owner discovered the cut painter the next morning.

Incident Details: Overnight while the owner slept onboard, the yacht’s in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen. The painter had been cut.

Incident Details: Overnight, a chain locked panga / Yamaha 155HP engine was stolen from the Red Frog anchorage. A police report was made. The panga minus the engine was recovered later that day.

Stolen Items: Preliminary list : 4x ACDelco 12v AGM batteries 90Ah each, 1x Exide 12v battery, size 24, 90Ah, 2x fire extinguishers, many tools, fenders, snorkel gear, galley items, chart table items, several bottles of alcohol , 2 cockpit cushions (Sunbrella marine blue with grey/burgundy piping)

Incident Details: A moored yacht was burgled between July 9-20. The companionway door lock was broken and the yacht fully ransacked. The thieves stole many items including 4x ACDelco 12v AGM batteries 90Ah each
1x Exide 12v battery, size 24, 90Ah, 2x fire extinguishers, wet/dry shop vac, many tools and spare parts, fenders, galley items, chart table items, snorkel gear, several bottles of alcohol and cockpit cushions (2xmarine blue with burgundy piping) .

A report was made to the police and Coast Guard.

Incident Details: Overnight while the owner slept onboard their in-the-water and not locked West Marine dinghy / 9.9HP Suzuki was stolen. It was recovered in Basti the next day, minus the engine, fuel tank and oars.

3683 – Burglary in Saint Martin (France) – Lagoon

Stolen Items: Extensive – prelim list includes Tohatsu 5HP 2 stroke outboard, house bank and starter batteries (4 X “Lifeline” 6 volts batteries 1 X “ACDelco” 12V battery, size 31), Icom M45 VHF radio , Vulcan chart plotter , many tools, bottled water +++

Incident Details: A yacht moored near Explorer island was burgled between July 9-15th. The companionway door was broken and the yacht fully ransacked. Burglars removed installed items (batteries/VHF radio/chart plotter +). A locked to the yacht 5HP Tohatsu outboard was also stolen. Tools and even provisions were taken. A police report was made.

Kaise 3000w inverter, Kaise 1000w inverter, 24 liters of bottled water , snorkeling and fishing gear, Magma kettle grill, Medkit, headlamp, flashlights, foul weather gear, 2 fire extinguishers, climbing harness, kitchen knives, West Marine auto focus binoculars, 1x marine binoculars, Life sling, courtesy flags and soft goods.

Incident Details: Overnight while the owner slept onboard the in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen from a yacht in the south anchorage. A report was made on the local VHF net, and a local search was conducted, but not successful.

CSSN UPDATE : Dinghy was found intact at a dock located upwind of the anchorage, and returned to the owner.

Incident Details: At 1800HRS cruisers on neighboring yachts noticed a local cayuco with 2 women had circled and then approached a locked and obviously vacant yacht in the south anchorage. One of the women boarded the yacht. The cruisers began yelling and videoing and once discovered the woman who had boarded returned to the cayuco and they paddled away. The police and the owner were contacted and a report was made. The women claimed ignorance and were warned.
