2930 – Theft in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – Bequia – Princess Margaret Beach

Incident Details: A catamaran anchored close-in off Princess Margaret beach and the crew went into town for some quick supplies from 16:00-19:30HRS. When they returned to the yacht they found some items strewn on the deck floor. An unlocked external locker had been opened and rifled through. A bright red plastic fishing tackle box was stolen. 5 of 8 swim fin socks were taken from the drying line. The main cabin remained locked and there was no sign of any other attempted or forced entry. No police report was made.

2921 – Burglary in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – St. Vincent – Blue Lagoon

Incident Details: Owners locked their yacht moored in Blue Lagoon. They left the cockpit brightly lit before going ashore for the evening. Between 1830-2145HRs, burglars with tools arrived and broke into the yacht through the locked companionway. The burglars ransacked the interior and stole cash, credit cards, an iPad and rum. ||The Coast Guard was contacted and they arrived promptly. A police report was made the next day.

2919 – Vandalism in Martinique (France) – St. Anne

Incident Details: Utilizing their guidebook information, owners locked their dinghy to the Caritan, St. Anne dinghy dock at 0830HRS. When they returned from the nearby laundry at 0950HRS they found the dinghy had been vandalized. The bowline had been untied, (lock remained in place) the throttle handle had been broken off and the dinghy had been filled with garbage including metal grates, conch shells, fenders and antifreeze bottles.||CSSN NOTE: This is the 4th report of vandalism at this dock in 2022, and thefts of dinghies in the nearby anchorage add another 5 incidents, making this anchorage/dinghy dock the most active for the region in 2022.|Understand the details from the Zoom -Tap, Know & Go map.
