Incident Details: A yacht was anchored for storage in Salinas. Another boat ran over the lines, entangling the lines in their prop/shaft. After freeing the lines, the boat owner retrieved and stole the 66 pound stainless steel anchor and rode. A witness reported the theft to the owner on his return. A police report was made.

Incident Details: A yacht had been anchored for almost a month among about 30 other yachts opposite the Old San Juan marina. Their in-the-water and not locked dinghy was stolen overnight while they slept onboard. The dinghy was recovered ashore the next morning. The engine had been well locked to the dinghy, the thieves were prepared and cut the transom mounting clamps and stole the whole engine/cable lock assembly and the oars. A report was made to the marina and the police.

Incident Details: With permission from the Marina de Salinas, owners left their dinghy at their dock at 0900HRS. At 1700HRS when they returned the bow chamber of their 11'AB was completely deflated. They were able to return to their yacht and upon inspection found that there were matching/aligning holes on both sides of the tube that were also present in their reinforced chaps. A report was made to the marina and the police.

Incident Details: An owner's yacht was berthed in Roosevelt Rhodes marina. The outboard engine (2023 Suzuki DF15, Blanco. S/N 01504F-243510) was chain locked to the dock. An installed tracker indicated it had begun moving, and police were notified. A report was filed with the Ceiba police. || Despite having the tracker information police have not made a recovery.

Incident Details: Owners had berthed at Marina Pescaderia in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. After being away from the boat for 4 days, they returned to find the boat had been burglarized. The lock on the companionway had been compromised, and was found with some sort of lock pick left stuck inside. The interior was completely ransacked and owners have not yet determined what was stolen, but few valuables had been left in the boat. A police report was filed and the marina management notified. Unfortunately the security cameras on premises were not operational. A police investigation is expected next week.

Incident Details: Owners returned to their locked dinghy at the Esperanza community dock and found that 20HP engine (also locked to the dinghy) had been cut from the transom, while at the dock. The locked dinghy remained, but thieves had sawed through the clamping bolts and stolen the engine . A police report was made.

Incident Details: A dinghy was cable locked through a cleat on the Fishermans pier. Thieves used tools to remove the cleat from the dock. A police report was made, and the police indicated this was the second dinghy theft reported to them that week. The dinghy was recovered, minus the outboard, the next day at the nearby Esperanza pier.
