Incident Details: Overnight while the crew slept onboard, their in-the-water and chain locked dinghy/outboard was stolen. The smashed/bent locking bar with the lock still in place and the cut painter and chain were found dangling behind the yacht. A report was made to the Coast Guard.||A second yacht anchored nearby also had their in-the water and chain locked dinghy/outboard stolen the same night. Police reports were made.

Incident Details: Between 1800-2000HRS a well secured dinghy was stolen from the small dock at southern end of Cabrita Bay. The thieves were well prepared with a strong cutting tool/disc and cleanly cut the heavy cable. A report was made to the police and coast guard, no forensics were taken.

Incident Details: A catamaran at Royal Marine, Piscadera, Curacao was burgled. The tender and outboard were both raised and well locked to the yacht. The sliding door lock was broken and the interior fully ransacked. The dinghy/outboard and all valuable/easily portable items (mountain bike, drone, dive gear, camera equipment, tools, etc.) were also stolen. The owner reported the incident to the Royal Marine staff onsite who seemed aware of a similar problem occurring to another boat a few nights earlier. Incident Details: A cruiser's dinghy was locked to a small private dock near the Limestone resort in Spanish Waters. The owner returned to find that the locking cable securing the outboard had been cut, and the 5HP Yamaha outboard stolen.

2540 – Theft in Curacao (the Netherlands) – Spanish Water – Fishermen’s Village

Stolen Items: Dinghy fuel tank

Incident Details: A dinghy was cable locked to the dinghy dock at the Fisherman's marina in Spanish Waters. When the owners returned at 2130 , the cable had been cut and the dinghy was adrift 30 meters away. The cable also secured the fuel tank, which was stolen. There is a security guard on premises who sits adjacent to the dinghy dock. When queried, he reported that earlier someone had taken several tanks and he recorded the license plate of the vehicle. When asked by the victim, he called the police and reported the license number of the vehicle involved. ||Additionally, 2 other dinghies had fuel tanks stolen that night, and also a fuel line from a third dinghy.
