Overnight their in-the-water and not locked Moorings dinghy #1636 / outboard #642 was stolen.||They made a report to the marina, charter company, and BVI police. ||The Police and charter company indicated they were the 3rd one that week.

Incident Details: A yacht anchored overnight off Spanish Town. At 0400HRS a crew member heard noise on deck. Looking through a hatch a person was seen standing on the sugar scoop/stern. When discovered the thief jumped back onto a board of some type and swam ashore. A spotlight was used and followed the thief up the beach until he disappeared. A police report was made.

Incident Details: A charter yacht moored in Diamond Cay. Overnight their in-the-water and well secured but not locked dinghy was stolen. They reported the theft to their charter company and while underway to get their replacement dinghy they saw and retrieved another (stripped/engineless) dinghy that was adrift. Incident Details: Overnight while the owners slept onboard their in-the-water and cable locked dinghy was stolen. A report was made on the local VHF, and to the police.||UPDATE: BVI maritime police recovered the badly damaged dinghy from the beach at Great Harbour, JVD. It was returned to the owners who will salvage it for parts.
