Incident Details: At 0215HRS a swimmer attempted to board and steal a dinghy from a yacht in the Linton Bay anchorage. The owners began yelling when they discovered the thieves and cruisers on nearby yachts were awakened, and they shown bright lights on the swimmer and his 2 companions in a powered open boat. The police were called by one of the nearby yachts. The swimmer was picked up and the three thieves departed. The police arrived about an hour later at the marina, and were picked up by a cruiser. The aero naval boat arrived soon after.
